Welcome to Carrosserie Heinis, located in the Haut-Rhin region of Alsace. Founded in 1964, the company specializes in the design and manufacture of fire and rescue vehicles. Our business is all about custom-built vehicles tailored to the client’s needs—much like visiting a tailor, really. In this instance, we were working on a first-response vehicle and decided to power the fire pump using the vehicle’s own engine. We quickly realized we needed to save space and reduce weight in the underbody area. We were already familiar with the renowned company ACGB, so technical discussions began promptly. Initial drawings followed, leading eventually to the prototype and, ultimately, the long-awaited production run. The quality throughout was outstanding—we have to give credit where it’s due. ACGB was incredibly accommodating regarding our very tight deadlines and flexible throughout the project’s development, right up to finalizing the UTAC certification for the tank. The journey continues—thank you all.
